Yipes thinking again, not good.

Hello again. Sitting here contemplating how to finish a painting I have started. As a young student at my first art school I learned many technical (pre-computer technical) ideologies which needed to be forgotten to when painting. They needed to become innate so the painting could have a natural flow and strokes of the paintbrush. I had forgotten the part of the learning that needed to be automatic. Need to stop thinking and just paint.

Ongoing thoughts

You know expanding or exploring new avenues for your art takes courage doesn't it? I am trying to grow my style to a more intellectual and emotional style and struggling at every step. Not with the painting aspect but the accepting of the move. Fear takes over and not wanting to be rejected is insurmountable. Silly I know but very human.
